Cuban Batido De Trigo (Puffed Wheat Smoothie)

Buenas tardes! Today I will be sharing one of my favorite Cuban recipes, the batido de trigo. This smoothie is a sweet, puffed wheat smoothie that has a perfect blend of a sweet grain flavor. In Spanish, trigo means “puffed wheat,” hence the name. I grew up drinking this at my abuelas house and it makes for the perfect sweet snack. It isn’t too hard to make, you only need four ingredients!

Ingredients:

Ice

1 cup of milk (can be any milk of your choosing)

1/2 cup of condensed milk

1 cup of puffed wheat

Directions:

1. Place ice into your blender.

2. Pour in the milk.

3. Toss in the puffed wheat.

4. Lastly, pour in the condensed milk.

5. Blend it all up.

6. Pour into a glass, top with more puffed wheat, and enjoy!
